That they had no fixed lineup and an ever-rotating series of vocalists and collaborators (from Elton John to De La Soul, Clash bassist Paul Simonon to Afro-Cuban singer Ibrahim Ferrer) not only undercut old ideas of what it meant to be a “band,” it projected a vision that felt communal, even a little utopian, unbound by borders cultural, stylistic, or otherwise. But in retrospect, Gorillaz’s work-the electro-indie pop of “Feel Good Inc.” and “Dare,” the leftfield hip-hop of “Clint Eastwood” and “Dirty Harry,” the bits of American gospel, African folk, and dub-reflected a rootless, fragmented world that has only gotten more familiar with time.

The two puppets were inspired by the characters, Statler and Waldorf from The Muppets. Gorillaz - Demon Days - Live at The Manchester Opera House DVD 2006 (NEW SEALED). During the live performance, a puppet version of 2-D and Murdoc sat on the private balcony of the opera house where they made commentaries and comedic banter in between each song performance as well as host the live stream of the concert featured on MSN Music.The Standard edition consists of the disc and the disc box. Gorillaz, the worlds biggest two-dimensional band, performed LIVE at the Manchester Opera House November 1st through 5th, 2005. Aside from the live versions of the entire Demon Days album, two additional songs were feature in the concert a live version of " Hong Kong" and an instrumental performance of Latin Simone (¿Que Pasa Contigo?) accompanied by in-studio recordings of Ibrahim Ferrer.
